The Long Island Children Museum (LICM) is a hands-on museum for all ages, backgrounds and abilities. It is a place where you can play, learn and have fun. For only $10 you and your family can spend the day exploring all the galleries with tons of hands on activities LICM has to offer. Also, vended services are available, but visitors are welcomed to bring their own food to eat in the LICM cafeteria. To the right is an example of one attraction at LICM where your child can literally be inside of a bubble.


The Cradle of Aviation is located right next store to LICM. Cradle of Aviation is an aerospace museum that commemorates Long Island’s part in the history of aviation and is located on the land that was once part of the Mitchel Air Force Base. It is also home to Long Island’s only giant screen IMAX Theater. For only under $10, you and your family are guaranteed to have the best seat in the house, and will see a movie that will take you to a place you’ve only dreamt of going.
